Prof Zinaida Peric
Zinaida Peric is a hematologist and BMT physician at Department of Hematology, University Hospital Centre Zagreb, and Assistant Professor at School of Medicine, University of Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia.
She obtained her PhD in basic research of GvHD pathophysiology, conducted at National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) in Nantes, France, under mentorship of Prof Mohamad Mohty.
Her doctoral dissertation “Plasmacytoid dendritic cells, effector T- lymphocytes and inflammatory cytokines in GvHD” was awarded as best PhD thesis in 2014. by the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. She was trained in stem cell transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy in St Antoine Hospital in Paris, France and King’s College in London, United Kingdom. From 2019 she serves as Subcommitee co-leader in Acute Leukemia Working Party of European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). In 2021 she was elected for a Chair of Transplant Complications Working Party of EBMT. She has served as the investigator on many clinical trials and authored or co-authored numerous publications and abstracts. She has played an active role as a speaker and panellist at numerous regional, national, and international conferences.
